Trustees


We’re looking for people to join our board of trustees.

You will have great empathy with our mission to improve the quality of life for people from ethnic minority backgrounds living on the Wirral.

Together with the other trustees, you will be responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, our financial health, the probity of our activities and developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals, in accordance with the governing document, and legal and regulatory guidelines. Trustees are individually responsible for complying with the codes of conduct expected of trustees and for acting in the best interests of the organisation.

Your job will be to ensure that WMO fulfils its duty to its beneficiaries by delivering our vision, mission and values.

This is an exciting and fulfilling role. The most effective Boards are ones which benefit from individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds, experience and skills.

Interpreters


We’re looking for interpreters who are fluent in the any of these languages: Arabic, Kurdish, Sorani, Farsi, Ukrainian, Albanian, Romanian, Bengali, Polish, Turkish and many more.

We're looking for two types:

1. Qualified and experienced interpretors (please see list of requirements below).

2. People who's English is good and are looking for interpreting experience to help them get qualified. 

Requirements for qualified interpreters

  • Minimum of Open Award Level 2 Community Interpreting Skills
  • Fluency in English and another language
  • At least six months experience
  • A personal or business UTR number from HMRC
  • A recent enhanced DBS check
  • Reference X2
