Translation and Interpretation service (T&I)

We can support you in your own language to get universal services.

What you need to do before we can help

  • You need to ask your doctor/GP surgery for an interpreter to help you with your appointments with the doctor.

What we can do when the doctor agrees

  • When your doctor/GP contacts us for an interpreter for you, we will find someone who speaks your language
  • We will explain to you how health services work
  • We will go with you to your appointment to interpret for you
  • We will Interpret for you over the phone
  • We will translate any letters
  • We will help you to understand the treatment your doctor suggests
  • We will connect you to our own health workers (who speak many languages) to help you and your family further
